You will find here under frequently asked questions. Please read them, as it will probably answer some of your questions. We are of course here to answer any other questions that you may have.
Making a reservation
Q: I do not know the exact dates of check in and check out. Can I still make a reservation?
A: No, In order to make a reservation with us, we need to have check in and check out dates. (Understandably, the check in date is crucial.)
Q: Can I change the check in date after the reservation has been confirmed?
A: Yes, you can. However, there may be extra charges.
Q: I am a U.S. resident. Can I use a co-signer for a consumer credit report if I have bad credit or no credit?
A: We first must have your information to run your credit report. We will accept a co-signer depending on your report. We will of course need to run your co-signer's credit report as well.
Q: I am a foreign resident and I do not have a social security number. Can I still stay at Vantaggio Suites?
A: Yes, just provide us with the information regarding your immigration visa status. For example, a student visa (F-1), a work visa (H-1) or a tourist visa (B-1) etc. Please be aware that we require a higher deposit for tourists with a visa waiver and tourist visa B1/B2.
Q: What kind of room rentals do you offer?
A: We offer monthly and weekly room rentals. Please see pricing for details.
Q: Can I choose the floor and location of my unit?
A: No, unfortunately, you cannot. However, you can always make a request and we will try to match it.
Q: What if I want to cancel my reservation?
A: If reservation is canceled for any reason 3 days after the reservation is confirmed, you will be charged a $100 cancellation fee.
Q: Can I cancel my reservation after check in?
A: There is no cancellation policy applied once you checked in. There is no refund for weekly stays and 30 day notice to vacate is required for monthly stay.
Q: When do I pay?
A: For a weekly stay, the total is due at the time of check-in. For monthly stays, the $25 application fee and $100 holding deposit are due at the time of the reservation and will be charged to your credit card. The rest of the charges are due upon check-in.
Q: What type of payments do you accept?
A: We accept cash, money orders, traveler's checks, and credit cards (Visa and MasterCard ONLY) for monthly stays. Personal checks is accepted if credit check is conducted. No starter checks are accepted. Weekly stay payments can only be by credit card. (Visa or MasterCard ONLY)
Q: Can I pay with foreign currency?
A: No, we only accept payments in U.S. dollars.
Q: Is the security deposit refundable?
A: Yes, it is refundable upon or after check out. The security deposit is not returned by cash. It may be refunded to your credit card.
Q: How does a shared room work?
A: All of our shared rooms are rented for students only, and a roommate/s can be arranged by us based on the same gender.
Q: Can I use internet in the unit?
A: Yes, you can! Every room has a free cable connection, and a free wireless connection is also available within the building.
Q: Are utilities included?
A: Yes, all utilities such as water, electricity and gas are included in the rent.
Q: Are the units furnished?
A: Yes, all of our units are furnished, and each room comes with a TV, a telephone, a min-fridge, a microwave, a dresser, a desk/s & a chair/s and a bed/s.
Q: Is there a private bathroom in the unit?
A: Yes, at all three locations.
Q: Is there a kitchen in every unit?
A: Not in a room but a community kitchen is available in each location.
Q: Are linens included?
A: Yes, they are included.
Q: Is there air conditioning and heating in the unit?
A: There is no air conditioning but there is heating.
Q: Do you provide housekeeping service?
A: Yes, we provide a weekly housekeeping service at all three locations.
Q: Can I smoke in the room?
A: Yes, you can if you are in a single room. In a shared room, you will need to discuss with your roommate. Smoking is prohibited in all common areas.
Q: Is there nearby transportation?
A: Muni bus stops and train stations are closely located to each of the three locations.
Q: Do you provide a pick-up service from the airport?
A: No but you can easily take a cab, shuttle bus or BART train at the airport. A shuttle bus is recommendable since you do not have to use any other transportation and is relatively inexpensive ($15.00 on average) compared to a cab.
Q: Is the neighborhood safe?
A: Generally, yes.
Q: Do you provide breakfast services?
A: Yes, we provide complimentary breakfast at all three locations for 7 days a week.
Q: Do you have parking spaces?
A: Only the Turk Street location has parking spaces, and a rate is $125.00 per month.
Q: I am under 18 years old. Can I stay at Vantaggio Suites?
A: Without being accompanied by an adult who will be financially responsible, no minor (under 18) is allowed to stay alone at Vantaggio Suites.
Q: Do you have any social networking sites?
A: Yes we a Facebook fan site. We update the fan site constantly with our current events, activities and resident photos. Please become a fan.
Q. Are pets allowed?
A. No pets are allowed.
Q: Can I check in before 3pm?
A: Our guaranteed check in time is 3pm. However you can arrive earlier and leave your luggage at the front desk. There are many restaurants within walking distance. We also have a lounge and PC rooms that you are welcome to use before the check in time.
Q: I am planning to check out very early in the morning, can I still check out?
A: Front desk is open 24 hours. You can check out anytime before 11am. However, we recommend you to come see us one day before, between 8am and 4pm to finish your paperwork for the check out.
Q: Can I check out late?
A: Unfortunately, we don't accept late check out. Our check out time is by11am. We recommend you to reserve an extra day if you would like to checkout late. However, we can hold your luggage at the front desk for a few hours after your check out if you wish.
